Oh how I miss the days when it was an NG feeding tube. Then I'd just call her a stinker, let her go without it for a while, and then place it myself when it was time to feed/med her. I think Sexy Haqon secretly rooted for her to pull it out. He loves seeing her without any tubes.
It's not that fun now that it means an extra trip downtown.....in the snow...

When they got home, Seraph was the happiest I've ever seen her. She's been letting us touch her a lot more, too. I think she finally trusts us that we're here family and we're gonna keep her with us instead of letting them keep her at the hospital.

What is the difference between an NJ tube and an NG tube? Besides the need for an x-ray to insert it? What an exciting life you guys are living.
an NG (nasogastric) tube is inserted through the nose down to the stomach.
an NJ (nasojejunal) tube is inserted through the nose, past the stomach, down into to the first section of the small intestine.
I didn't realize that she had an NJ tube. Bummer that its such a pain to replace but I know what you mean about loving them without all the tubes. Some day she will be free of them and what a happy day that will be. :)

That's great to hear that she gave you a nice treat after making Haqon take her to the hospital and making you worry. I'm glad she's liking her family now!
